Jyotipriya Mallick lodges complaint against CPM leaders

BARASAT, 30 JUNE: The state minister for food and supplies, Jyotipriya Mallick, lodged a complaint against some former CPI-M leaders alleging that they had planned to get him murdered on 27 June at a CPI-M’s women rally. 
Mr Mallick lodged complaints against five CPI-M leaders with Barasat police station. A rally was held in Sason by CPI-M women members. CPI-M leaders Mrs Rekha Goswami and Mrs Ramala Chakrabarty led the rally that was aimed at canvassing votes for panchayat election member Mrs Ashiknuri Begam.
The CPI-M supporters were allegedly attacked by TMC supporters and it was alleged that they had tried to murder Mrs Ashiknuri Begam.  Mrs Rekha Goswami and others went to Barasat police station and lodged a complaint against the Mallick. Police said that at around 5 p.m. today a complaint was lodged by Mr Mallick.
He wrote in his complaint that CPI-M leaders allegedly planned to murder him. He mentioned the names of CPI-M leaders Mr Amitava Nandi, Mrs Ramala Chakrabarty, Mrs Ila Nandi, Mr Rabin Deb and Mrs Rekha Goswami.  Mr Mallick lodged a nine-page complaint against them. He also suggested that some CPI-M local leaders like Mr Kutubaddin, Ijrail, Mr Akbar Ali were also involved in the plan.
