Consumer Forum Mandi asks BSNL to pay compensation

A bench of Consumer Forum Mandi has asked BSNL to pay an amount of Rs.5,000 as compensation and Rs.2,000 as litigation cost for the late replacement of a defective telephone set.

The forum further ordered that the amount has to be deposited by BSNL first and it may recover the amount form the officials who were responsible for not rendering the immediate services to the complainant.

The order came of a complaint filed by a resident of Mandi, Lawan Thakur.
