4 underage girls on outing recovered from Dehradun

Four underage girls of south Delhis Jamia Nagar locality who had gone missing from October 29 were recovered on Saturday by the Delhi Police from a hotel in Dehradun.

Father of one of the missing girls had filed a complaint with the Jamia Nagar police station raising suspicion that his daughter had been kidnapped.

The police, during investigation, learnt that the girls were seen in a Maruti Ecco car in the morning. On further investigation questioned the taxi driver, Satish. "Satish told that he had left four girls in a hotel ‘Softal Plaza’ in Dehradun," the police said.

After getting this lead, the police team was immediately dispatched to Dehradun along with relatives of the girls.

The police reached at the hotel and found the girls staying in the ‘Royal Suite’ of the hotel. All the four girls were safely recovered, said the police. The police claimed that they also recovered cash of Rs. 37 lakh from their possession.

All the girls study in Class 10th of a government school, said the police. It was further revealed that one of the girls saw cash at her home and shared the information with her colleagues who planned to go out for fun. The girl stole the amount, kept her school bag and decided to go to Dehradun. They had already spent about Rs 1 lakh on their shopping, taxi fare, hotel charges, concluded the police.
