Commuters face tough time as Metro slows on Blue Line

Commuters on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro that connects Noida City Centre to Delhi’s Dwarka in Delhi faced a tough time on Friday evening as the trains were slowed down due to a maintenance issue.

The delay in the service also caused a rush at metro stations and a few were forced to abort their Metro ride.

quot;It took me around an hour to reach Rajiv Chowk from Noida Sector 16 today Friday. It usually takes me 25-30 minutesquot; said Pankaj Kumar a daily commuter.

quot;I got down at Rajiv Chowk and took an auto to my home in Dwarka. You never know how long it would takequot; said Sanjeev a software engineer working in Noida.

A Delhi Metro official said that the delay was caused by some quot;maintenance workquot; of the overhead wires at Dwarka.
