World of incredible creativity

Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP), an institute that seeks to bring about positive changes in the lives of all people through a range of service provisions celebrated its 42nd anniversary from 17-19 November by conducting an exhibition based on the theme ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-Meet our Partners’. Sanjay Budhia, MD, Patton Group graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The three-day programme exhibited the functions and activities of the funding companies. The challenged students of the school with the help of teachers put up charts and models on diverse themes to thank their sponsor partners- Garden Reach Ship Builders and Engineers, ONGC, Vesuvius, Shrei, Cipla, Cognizant and many more.
It also showcased the expertise of these students who through their artistic works conveyed gratitude to their partners for helping them to make their life better. Some of their works included decorating diyas, papers bags and cards, paper packets, block prints and jewellery.
The students from the section Edu-3 of the school dressed as doctors and nurse through their theme ‘Care and Cure’ displayed the contribution of Cipla, the medicine company in their lives. The Edu-2 section put up the theme of ‘Tea Industry’ where beautifully decked up challenged kids presented the activities carried out in a tea plantation.
A short film called Beyond Barriers highlighting IICP was also featured on this occasion. Children and adults from IICP’s service divisions staged a show- ‘In a Festive Mood’. The programme came to an end with vote of thanks by Dr Reena Sen, Executive Director.
