SPICE TEA: Take three cups of water. Add one cinnamon stick, four cloves, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and ¼ inch thick piece of ginger (grated). Let it boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain it and add 1 ½ teaspoon of organic honey and juice of half lemon. Drink hot.

RAW GARLIC: Chewing a clove of raw garlic every three to four hours a day is super beneficial for treating cold. When garlic is crushed, a chemical reaction takes place which releases a powerful antibacterial ‘allicin’. It is present shortly after garlic is crushed and before heated. So it is best to be chewed directly as a whole without crushing or chopping it. If you can’t do so, then chop or grind it. Mix it with a spoonful of honey and consume it.

STEAM: Boil water in a container.  Add few drops of eucalyptus oil in it. Inhale the steam covering your head with a towel. Your nasal passage will get cleared and it will reduce inflammation.
