Congolese winger Bolasie joins Everton for $32.4 million

English football club Everton announced the signing of Congolese winger Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace for 25 million pounds ($32.4 million) on a five-year contract on Monday.

Bolasie said: "This is a big club and I know all about it from having played against them over the years. But now that I’ve come to Everton, the job is not done. I’ve got to work hard and feel my way in. I’m ready and up for the challenge.

"It’s not about the money for me. It’s about looking at the ambition of the Club and where they are trying to get to. I just like to play football," he added.

Over the past four seasons, Bolasie played 143 games for Crystal Palace and scored 13 goals, reports Efe.

On the other hand, Everton’s Dutch coach Ronald Koeman said that Bolasie was on the club’s radar for a long time and praised the Congolese for his skill, speed, strength and his ability to play in more than one position.
