England score daunting total of 537

Thanks to centuries from Joe Root, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes, England posted a massive 537-run total, dominating the Indian bowlers who will probably feel they struck too late on Day 2 of the Rajkot Test.
If the first day was all about the Root-Ali stand, on Thursday there were plenty of heroes for England, including Jonny Bairstow who got out just 4 runs short of a half-century.
It is in fact, the first time since 2009 that a visiting team have had three centurions in a single innings in India. And while most experts had written off England’s chances before the series began, if the first two days are anything to go by, it is going to an intriguing battle between the two sides.
The visitors made the hosts toil for each and every wicket and with little time left in the day, India have a battle on their hands if they are to salvage anything from this Test.
Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav got two wickets each while Ravindra Jadeja bagged three wickets to end a woeful day for the Indian bowlers.
