Mohali Test Day 3: India extend lead without much fuss

India’s lower-order continued the counter-offensive against England, extending their lead to over 70 runs, comfortably poised at 354-7 at lunch.
The visitors sole bright spot in the session came when Jonny Bairstow caught the dangerous Ravichandran Ashwin for 72 off Ben Stokes’ fine ball.
Ashwin’s overnight partner Ravindra Jadeja didn't let the setback affect him as he managed a career-best score of 70 not out and has the handy Jayant Yadav for company.
Yadav, who has been excellent with the ball, is unbeaten with a crucial 26, their 53-run partnership has well and truly frustrated the visitors.
