PV Sindhu’s Olympic silver marks a glorious year for badminton
It turned out to be a watershed year for Sindhu, who reached the upper echelons of world badminton.
After a bronze, will India manage to grab a gold next or is silver in store in the Rio Olympics 2016? Well, the question will be answered on Friday as PV Sindhu is all set to play her first ever Olympic final and all eyes are on her performance.
Besides badminton, Indians will be seen participating in three other disciplines – athletics, golf and wrestling – as well.

Badminton
PV Sindhu will take on two-time World champion and top seed Carolina Marin of Spain in the summit clash at 6.55 pm IST. Will Sindhu manage to stun her? Let’s wait and watch!
Athletics
Men’s 50 km walk: Sandip Kumar and Manish Singh will be seen participating at 4.30 pm IST.
Women’s 20 km walk: Kushbir Kaur and Sapna will be in action at 11 pm IST.
Women’s 4*400 relay heats: Ashwini Akkunji, Jisna Mathew, Debashree Majumdar, MR Poovamma, Nirmala Sheoran, Anilda Thomas can be caught live at 5.10 am IST.
Golf
Women’s Round 3: Aditi Ashok has impressed with her performance so far. At 4 pm IST she will try to put up another good performance to climb up and grab an Olympic medal.
Wrestling
Men’s 57 kg freestyle: Sandeep Tomar will be in the ring at 6.30 pm IST.
