Istituto Marangoni, a private Italian school of fashion and design and Cappellini launched its second edition of an international design contest issuing a new challenge to young designers worldwide. With the theme,“Make It Odd (Take It Home)”, the contest invites participants from all over the globe to come up with some unconventional furniture, showcasing innovation in form, material or function.
Graduates in product and industrial design, interior design or architecture, or sector professionals with relevant experience in the field will have to register and send their design proposal until 23 May. A team of outstanding Italian and international design professionals will judge the projects. The panel will evaluate based on consistency with the competition theme, innovation and the validity of the proposal, the quality of the composition and the capacity for concept&’s synthesis.
