‘Paradip Refinery – a milestone in Odisha’s growth’

The talented and creative students of various schools of Bhubaneswar participated in the drawing competition held at Indian Oil organised exhibition in the city. 

The theme of the drawing competition was “Paradip Refinery- a milestone in Odisha&’s growth”. 

In the senior category the winners were: Namita Panda (Class 9th, Govt. Girls’ High School, Unit-9), Mohini Mohanty (Class 8th, Aswasha School), Raseswari Rout (Class 10th, Govt. High School, Sahid Nagar) won the 1st,2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Similarly, in the junior category, Master Ch. Kirtiman Nanda (Class 2nd, Mother&’s Public School), Master Asutosh Jena (Class 6th, Sri Aurobinda Integral Education Center) and Suprava Jena (LKG, Shishu Vihar English Medium School) bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively. 

An elocution competition was held on fuel and energy conservation. The first prize for elocution was won by Raseswari Rout of Govt. High School, Sahid Nagar, who presented the subject in a very interesting manner. 

All the participating students also learnt about interesting details of the oil & gas sector of India as well as the coming up of Paradip Refinery, 11th refinery of IndianOil. 

An essay competition was also held that attracted good participation. The winners are Swarnlata Sahoo (Class 8th, Govt. High School,Sahidnagar), Mohini Mohanty ( Class 8th, Aswasha School), Shivani Sethi (Class 8th, Govt. High School, Sahidnagar). 

A group of ladies also visited showing their keenness to learn about the refinery and also participated in a safety quiz. A play on energy conservation was also performed by the Street Theatre Action Group. 

Dignitaries from Indian Oil including KK Sharma, GM (Odisha State Office) were present.
