Nine dengue cases have been detected in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) area in the past seven days, said Siliguri mayor Asok Bhattacharya on Tuesday.
Fourteen people have been affected with dengue in the SMC area so far. Last year the figure was five. “Nine dengue cases have been found in the past one week in the SMC area.
Fourteen people have been affected with dengue so far,” Bhattacharya said. “A team of School of Tropical Medicine visited different wards including wards 8,4,23, 35 and they collected mosquito larvae. We have already launched the awareness drive,”the mayor added.
