There were no fresh cases of death due to dengue reported from any districts of West Bengal since August 26 as the toll remained at 23.
According to West Bengal Director of Health Services Biswaranjan Satpathy, 5,639 people were infected till August 25 by the virus in the state since January.
Most cases have been reported from the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, North 24-Parganas and South 24 Parganas while a few isolated cases were reported from Darjeeling, Coochbehar and north Dinajpur districts.
