TMC youth wing president discharged from hospital

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee was discharged from the hospital this evening where he was under treatment for the past 13 days following a road accident.

His health condition has improved in the past two days.

His superficial stitches of lacerated wound over the left cheek were comfortably removed on Sunday forenoon while the most important stitches within the orbit area shall be removed in due course after appropriate planning by the medical board that has been constituted to look after Banerjee’s condition.

His eye movements and vision are comparatively better as compared to Friday.

The swelling has also reduced substantially. Banerjee has been allowed free mobilisation and normal diet. The medical board took the decision to discharge him after a check-up.

ldquo;Banerjee needs to come back to the hospital again for another round of check-up. The doctors have prescribed him complete rest for two weeksrdquo; the official said.

The medical board got a CT scan done and after examining the report said it was stable. The board advised Banerjee to take full rest. He will be under observation of two nurses of the nursing home for 24 hours in his house.

Dr Sukumar Mukherjee was very busy with his patients so he was absent at the time of nbsp;Banerjee’s discharge. Banerjee’s car had met with an accident on National Highway-2 near Singur in Hooghly district on 18 October.

A 12-member team of surgeons had conducted the surgery a week later on 25 October. At the time of discharge Banerjee’s father motherwifemother in-lawbrother and Trinamul Congress leaders Manas Bhuniya Indranil Sen and some party supporters were present.
