Chennai: Anna University, Tamil Nadu, has postponed the examinations scheduled on December 6 to 8, 2016 owing to the sudden demise of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The new dates are expected to be announced on December 8 at www.annauniv.edu.
Earlier, the examinations scheduled for colleges affiliated to Anna University on November 30 and December 1 were postponed owing to heavy rain forecast in the state. They have been rescheduled to December 23 and December 24 respectively.
This has created confusion among the students. They have been advised by the university to continue with the preparation for exams as the new dates will be updated soon.
The university had earlier announced cancellation of exam scheduled on December 5 owing to grave condition of the chief minister, who passed away on December 5 midnight.
