Iraq exports first cargo of liquefied gas

Iraq on Sunday exported its first cargo of liquefied gas, the Oil Ministry said.

Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad in a statement released by his office said a foreign tanker shipped the exported cargo on Sunday afternoon from the Umm Qasr port in the southern city of Basra.

However, he did not mention the name of the purchaser or the selling price.
