Markets trade flat; Midcaps index jumps 0.6%

Erasing initial declines amid mixed global cues, domestic bourses were trading almost flat in the late morning trade on Friday. 
At 11.00 am, the Sensex at the BSE was trading 14 points higher at 26,241 while the Nifty at the NSE was trading eight points up at 8,088.
In the broader markets, BSE Midcap index jumped 0.6 per cent while Smallcap index slipped 0.1 per cent. 
Among the BSE sectoral indices, Consumer Durables index declined the most, down 1.8 per cent, while Oil & Gas index became the gainer gainer, up 1.1 per cent. 
On Thursday, the Sensex has closed 71 points down at 26,228 and the Nifty had ended 31 points lower at 8,080.
Top gainers in the Sensex-30 pack: NTPC (up 3.6 per cent), Sun Pharma (up 2.8 per cent), ONGC (up 1.5 per cent), M&M (up 1.4 per cent) and Hero Motocorp (up 1.3 per cent).
Top losers in the Sensex-30 pack: Gail (down 1.7 per cent), HUL (down 1.5 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.3 per cent), TCS (down 1.2 per cent) and ITC (down 1 per cent).
Meanwhile, the Rupee was trading below the 68 mark, down 27 paise against the US Dollar.
