Markets trim initial gains, Tata Motors trades 2.5% higher

Trimming initial gains amid mixed global cues, domestic equity markets were trading almost flat in the second hour of trade on Thursday. 
At 10.45 am, the Sensex at the BSE was trading 10 points higher at 26,309 while the Nifty at the NSE was trading three points down at 8,108.
Broader markets underperformed the benchmark indices, BSE Midcap index fell 0.2 per cent while Smallcap index slumped 0.4 per cent. 
Among the BSE sectoral indices, Consumer Durables index declined the most, down 1 per cent, while Realty index became the gainer loser, up 0.9 per cent. 
On Wednesday, the Sensex had closed six points down at 26,299 and the Nifty had closed three points higher at 8,112. 
Top gainers in the Sensex-30 pack: Tata Motors (up 2.5 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.7 per cent), Cipla (up 1.4 per cent), ONGC (up 1.2 per cent) and Gail (up 1 per cent).
Top losers in the Sensex-30 pack: Bajaj Auto (down 2.3 per cent), Hero Motocorp (down 2.2 per cent), Power Grid (down 1.8 per cent), Wipro (down 1.7 per cent) and Asian Paints (down 1.1 per cent).
Meanwhile, the Rupee was trading four paise higher at 67.90 against the US Dollar.
