Amarinder slams Kejriwal’s ‘drugs-for-money’ charges against Congress

Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh has lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal for demeaning and humiliating the youth of Punjab by suggesting that they would sell their votes in exchange for drugs during the coming state Assembly elections.

“First the Badal-led Akali government destroyed the lives of tens of thousands youth of Punjab by spreading drug addiction among them, and now Kejriwal has come to crush their spirit further by suggesting that they would sell their precious votes for drugs,” Amarinder said, coming down heavily on both, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the AAP, for misleading the youth of the state.
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president accused Kejriwal of being obsessed with trying desperately to woo the voters of Punjab, a large chunk of whom is constituted of youth. He said that Kejriwal does not think twice before ridiculing and damning even the innocent victims of the Badals’ conspiracy to loot the state.
