Anne Hathaway’s pregnancy made her good liar

Actress Anne Hathaway says she is normally bad at keeping secrets and telling lies but during her pregnancy she became a professional liar.

The 33-year-old star, who welcomed her son Jonathan in March with husband Adam Shulman, revealed that she is usually a horrible liar except when it came to her pregnancy, reported Entertainment Tonight.

"I’m a very, very bad liar. I get very flushed when I lie, so I am very bad at keeping secrets. People can always tell what’s up. The only secret that I kept, and I will tell you I got really good at lying, was when I was pregnant," she said.

Hathaway said she chose to be untruthful during her pregnancy to protect her unborn child.

"I lied about everything having to do with it. I did not feel like, ‘Oh, I am lying.’ It was like, ‘No, I am protecting.’ I am a boxing-out mama bear," she quipped.
