In a never-seen-before initiative, Shah Rukh Khan and Excel Entertainment have joined hands to launch the trailer of their upcoming film Raees by reaching out to nine cities.
Rather than confining to a single city, the makers are gearing up to reach out to more fans.
Shah Rukh will be accompanied by his co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the trailer launch and it will be streamed on 3,500 screens across India.
The 51-year-old superstar will interact with the audience through video conferencing.
“We wanted to reach out and engage with a pan-India audience, rather than confining it to just a single city. We are really excited to interact with thousands of people across cities, big and small, simultaneously by having a live chat with audiences in cinemas,” SRK said.
Delhi, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai and Moga (Punjab) have been finalised.
This way, the team can reach out and interact with not only big cities but also to those audiences in smaller cities.
“It’s a film which is different from the content that either Excel or SRK are known for. The attempt seems to take this content to a wider range of audience,” a source close to the film added.
Directed by National award winning filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, the movie is all set to release on January 26, 2017.
