It won’t be long before Sanjay Leela Bhansali&’s epic drama Bajirao Mastani, starring real life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as protagonists, as well as Priyanka Chopra, hits the theaters, providing a glimpse into the life and times of Peshwa Bajirao, and his historic love saga.
Ranveer, who will be portraying the role of the great Maratha warrior, took a moment to remember him on his birth anniversary on Tuesday.
“It’s Peshwa Bajirao&’s 315th birth anniversary today. Such an honour to be a part of the telling of His love-story …. #HappyBirthdayBajirao,” tweeted the Bollywood star.

Bajirao, the Peshwa of Maratha emperor, Chhatrapati Shahu Raje Bhonsle, was born on August 18, 1700, and remains one of the greatest warriors in Indian history, responsible for the widespread expansion of the Maratha Empire.
And the actor isn’t the only one paying respect to the great man, who has the unique accomplishment of never losing a single battle.
To mark the occasion of the 315th birth anniversary of Peshwa Bajirao, Eros International and Bhansali Productions released a magnificent visual of Ranveer as Peshwa Bajirao from Bajirao Mastani.
The movie is set to release on December 18, 2015.
