The makers of Dangal on Wednesday released the film’s third track titled Gilehriyaan. The song displays sense of freedom experienced by Geeta Phogat, while she was away from her Haanikaarak Bapu, Mahavir Singh Phogat.
Gilehriyaan captures Geeta Phogat’s journey as a teenager during her wrestling training.The song shows how Geeta tried to enjoy her youth while she was away from her family. Like any young girl, she is seen applying nail paint, gorging on some panipuri and growing her hair long in the song’s video.
At the same time her younger sister Babita, who is back home, is training hard and wishes to go to the same institute and live life like her elder sister. In the song, Aamir Khan can be seen as an insecure father who does not like the fact that his daughter has been giving priority to her current trainers.
Composed by Pritam and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the melodious track has been sung by Jonita Gandhi.Dangalis a sports biopic based on the life of ace wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and the journey of his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat.
Disney and Aamir Khan Productions’ Dangal is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is slated to release on December 23.
