A Delhi Court on Saturday issued a non-bailable warrant against beleaguered businessman Vijay Mallya in a cheque bounce case.
The Patiala House Court asked the former liquor baron to be brought to the court on November 4 and asked the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to ensure that the warrant reaches Mallya, who is at present in London.
On July 29, the Delhi High Court upheld the trial court&’s order summoning Mallya as an accused in several cheque-bouncing cases filed by Delhi airport operator DIAL.

Mallya, 60, owes over Rs 9,000 crore to various banks. He left India on a March 2 using a diplomatic passport and is currently in the UK.
In April, the Indian government had cancelled Mallya’s passport and made a formal request to the British authorities for his deportation.
The Enforcement Directorate is also seeking to invoke the India-United Kingdom Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) to extradite Mallya.
