Militants strike BSF convoy in Kashmir

A Border Security Force (BSF) convoy was attacked by militants in north Kashmir on Saturday morning, leaving a BSF personnel injured.
The attacked took place at Handwara area in Kupwara district. Militants fired at a bus which was part of the convoy passing through Langate area of the district, sources said.
“One jawan has sustained bullet injuries in the attack by militants on a convoy at Handwara this morning,” a BSF official said here.
His condition is stated to be stable.
This is the second attack on security forces in Handwara area in the past 36 hours.
Militants on Thursday night opened fire on a police station in Handwara. There was no damage in the incident as the militants fled from the scene following police retaliation.
