‘Pledge to make PoK, Gilgit, Baltistan part of India’

Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitender Singh on Sunday pledged to liberate Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Gilgit and Baltistan and make them a part of India.

Addressing a ‘Tiranga Rally’ in Smailpur, Jammu, Singh said: “Half the area of Maharaja Hari Singh’s erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir is illegally occupied by Pakistan."

"Pledge to liberate Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Gilgit, Baltistan and make it part of India," he added.

Jitendra Singh had on August 13 announced that the Indian Tricolour will be unfurled in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 2017.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also present at the rally and he too attacked Pakistan saying that it was challenging India&’s unity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address from the Red Fort had referred to the situation in Balochistan, Gilgit, Baltistan and said people from these regions had thanked him a lot over the past few days for support.
