Amid protests by Congress party in Parliament and on roads across the country on the demonetization issue, Congress president Sonia Gandhi along with daughter Priyanka Vadra on Thursday inspected the latter’s under construction house at Chharabara in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
Sources in the Congress party said Sonia Gandhi along with Priyanka reached Shimla by helicopter early in the morning after which they stayed for a while at popular tourist spot Kufri.
“Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka stayed for a while at Chharabara after which they left for Wildflower Hall Hotel,” sources said, adding it was their private tour and they returned to Delhi in the afternoon.
Later, the mother-daughter duo visited Chharabara where Gandhi inspected the under construction house of Vadra.
