Opening a new area of investigation to the police in AgustaWestland chopper scam, a city court on Saturday sent former Indian Air Force (IAF) chief SP Tyagi to four days’ police custody.
“Former IAF chief SP Tyagi, arrested in AgustaWestland choppers deal case, sent to police custody till Dec 14 by a city court,” media reports stated.
“Tyagi’s cousin Sanjeev and lawyer Gautam Khaitan also sent to police custody till Dec 14,” the reports added.
SP Tyagi, Sanjeev Tyagi and Gautam Khaitan were arrested by the CBI on Friday on charges of corruption in the Rs.3,600-crore AgustaWestland helicopter deal.
