Cinnamon, the dried bark of an evergreen tree, is used as a spice in both sweet as well as savoury foods. Earlier cinnamon, because of its rich values, was regarded as a gift even for the gods. The bark contains useful substances like tannis, cinnamanic aldehyd and eugenol, which works as antibacterial. It adds to flavours and taste in tea and different types of food, and is helpful in curing many diseases and ailments. Cinnamon has many amazing health benefits that people are unaware of. We can incorporate these enormous benefits of cinnamon in our daily food for a healthier living.

Tip – Cinnamon tea is sweet and spicy and is the most effective to cure diabetes. To prepare, boil cinnamon  for  15-20 minutes in water. Add few tulsi leaves for flavour. Honey can be added as a sweetener. Then, strain and drink. 

Helps in slowing down Alzheimer:  When consumed regularly, cinnamon helps in delaying the occurrence  of  Alzheimer. It acts as a protein and develops around the nerves that are responsible for transmitting impulses of the brain. 

Tip –  Have a teaspoon of fresh cinnamon with a pinch of honey on a daily basis on an empty stomach. This mixture can be consumed in the form of tea if found too spicy.
