The Chief Minister in his address recounted the efforts of the Naga people to make the state the Amur Falcon capital and how they, like many South East Asian societies, lived in close proximity with nature.

He also appealed to the people of Nagaland to continue environmental preservation and development and said the people should cooperate with the government to undertake mass tree plantation every year and preserve natural flora and fauna.
