Naturals looks to double salons to 1,000 by ”16-end

Naturals, a chain of affordable beauty salons, is looking to double its outlets to 1,000 by the end of next year.

"We will double our salons from the present 500 by the end of 2016," Naturals founder and chief executive C K Kumaravel said.

"The company’s vision is to open 3000 salons by 2018, employ over 15,000 people and empower more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs," he added.

The Rs.300 crore company is targeting sales of Rs 500 crore by the end of the next fiscal, he said.

Started in 2000 by CK Kumaravel and his wife K Veena, going forward the company is looking to open sports themed salons and ayurvedic salons with a special focus on its international markets, Kumaravel said.

"We are looking to spend about Rs.100 crore over the next three years on these new ventures," he said.

The company works on a franchise model, and offers training, tie-ups with banks for collateral free loans, and allied facilities to help the entrepreneurs set up.

The salon is also looking to expand its footprint in the US and Middle East, he added.
