Williamson, Broom sweep series for New Zealand
The series now moves on to three T20s to be followed by two Tests.
New Zealand were on 152/1 at stumps on the second day of the first cricket Test against India here on Friday before rain interrupted the momentum of Tom Latham and Kane Williamson.
Latham (56 batting) and Williamson (66 batting) were at the crease at the break.
The duo struck half-centuries to put the visitors in a comfortable position following the early departure of the in-form Martin Guptill (21).
