Kohli becomes first Indian skipper to score 3 Test double centuries

Continuing with his brilliant run scoring spree this year, Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored his 15th Test century and third double century of the year on day 4 of the fourth Test match between India and England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
With this ton, Kohli becomes the first Indian skipper to score double tons as India leads 2-0 in the fifth Test match series. Adding another feather to his cap, he created yet another world record with this masterclass -averages over 50 in all 3 formats – Tests (50.1), ODIs (52.9), T20s (57.1).
On Saturday, the team India captain also crossed 500 runs in the series, the second time in his career. The Delhi-based cricketer known for his aggressive and consistent batting style became the leading run-scorer in the international format this year, overtaking Joe Root.
