The VIVO IPL opening ceremony will be held on April 8 from 7:30 pm at the Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium in Mumbai.
The gala event will feature dance hall reggae trio Major Lazer with Nana Richard – Fuse ODG and Nailah Thorbourne, and pop star Chris Brown.
Bollywood actors–Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez–will join popular singer YO YO Honey Singh to kick-start VIVO IPL 2016. West Indies cricket star Dwayne Bravo will also perform for the first time on-stage of his famous song ‘Champions’.

The online ticket sales have already commenced and can be bought on www.iplt20.com and www.bookmyshow.com. The ceremony will be seen LIVE in 32 countries on Sony Max and Sony Six on the April 8 from 7:30 pm onwards.
“All eight captains will be present to take the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge, reaffirming the values in IPL&’s commitment to the Spirit Of Cricket. I take this opportunity to wish all the teams and personnel involved the very best for a successful season,” IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said.
