Benchmark English course

British Council will introduce The Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in Kolkata this February. The teaching award is an internationally recognised teaching qualification that follows a four-week curriculum designed by University of Cambridge. CELTA is considered to be an international benchmark English language teaching certification and the only qualification accepted by many language schools around the world. It is an initial qualification for people with little or no previous teaching experience and is equally relevant to those who want to learn a new way to teach English or gain an internationally recognised qualification. CELTA trainees must be at least 20 years old and have a first degree or equivalent.
You should also have a proficiency (C1/C2) level of English. The course is built around essential techniques of teaching and is assessed through a combination of teaching practice and written assignments with a dedicated CELTA team providing special guidance and support. For more information on application and other processes visit www.britishcouncil.in/teach/teacher-training/cambridge-celta.
