When the evening shadows and stars appeared, twangs of sitar and sarod accompanied by beats of tabla resonated through the Tulip Hall on Eastern Metropolitan by-pass yesterday.
Ajay Ray played the sitar accompanied by Subir Thakur on tabla regaled the audience in a soiree named “Monsoon Melodies with Rainy Ragas” presented by P C Chandra Garden.

The duo&’s performance was followed up by Tarun Nayak playing the sarod and Debashis Choudhury accompanying him on tabla in this memorable evening of Indian classical music.
Magic pervaded the auditorium as the artiste played with love and the audience listened with the same spirit.
