The role of a creative leader is not to have all the ideas; it&’s to create a culture where everyone can have ideas and feel that they’re valued. Keeping these words of Ken Robinson in mind, there was quite a crowd at Gorky Sadan last week.

Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Kolkata organized a week-long programme at Gorky Sadan on 13-20 July, 2015 in commemoration of the 7th Summit Session of the BRICS nations in Ufa, Russia. The week-long programme began on Monday at 6.00 p.m. with the inauguration of an illustrative exhibition on BRICS along with the display of handicrafts of BRICS nations.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by the screening of films from five countries at the auditorium of Gorky Sadan. A seminar entitled BRICS – Hope for the Future was organised on this occasion on Wednesday at the conference hall of Gorky Sadan at 6.00 p.m in association with the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies of the University of Calcutta.
