‘No religion preaches terrorism,’ says Mauritius President

Mauritius President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim on Saturday said no religion preaches terrorism.

“No religion preaches terrorism as terrorism has no religion and she wants peace and harmony for India and its people,” the Mauritius President, who paid obeisance at the Dargah of sufi saint Waris Ali Shah, expressed.
“No one likes conflict as everyone wants peace… terrorists have no caste or religion,” Fakim said.
To a question on Indian PM Narendra Modi, she said, “He is doing good work… Better works are being undertaken under his leadership.”
Fakim offered chadar at the world renowned dargah of the sufi saint during her brief visit and prayed for peace.
